From the letter to the last check
Five steps, in the order they happen. You decide at each one.
- 01
Step 1: You send the letter
Use the form or call. Tell us what the insurer said and when. Please don't send the policy or claim number through the form yet.
- 02
Step 2: We read the policy
All of it, including the pages that came after the first one. Then we call you and say what we see, whether or not we can help.
- 03
Step 3: We build the file
Photos, estimates, an engineer when the cause is disputed, and the insurer's own notes. Everything goes in a dated timeline.
- 04
Step 4: We ask again, in writing
A letter that says what is wrong and what it should be. If the policy has an appraisal step, we use it.
- 05
Step 5: If it comes to it, a lawsuit
Only when you've decided you want one. We tell you the risks and what it would cost before you say yes.
What to bring to the first call
Whatever you have is enough to start. We'll ask for the rest.
A first call is mostly listening. We ask what happened, what the insurer said and what's still broken, and we say what we'd look at first. Nothing you tell us on the call is shared with the insurer.
Bring, if you have it
The denial or payment letter
Your policy, every page and endorsement
Photos and videos of the damage, with dates
Estimates and receipts for repairs
Messages with the adjuster

Send it, or call and tell us about it.
